We stayed four nights and that is enough to see Marrakesh and we did also a one day trip – the 3 vallées tour 😊! Highly recommendable 😊!
The only thing I did not like about this day trip is to visit the waterfalls. Honestly, you make a 1.5 hour of walking tour to see a waterfall which looks more like a biger fountain in a farmer’s garden. And the walk to go there is pretty dangerous. You cross stones and small rivers, and sometimes it doesn’t exist a bridge or the stones are wet and slippery.
The town Marrakesh is adorable! 😌 You can visit a lot of souks, the famous place Djemaa el Fna, palace Bahia and the botanic garden where Yves-Saint-Laurent lived.
If you visit the place Djemaa el Fna you will see a lot of snake charmer, dealer with monkeys, fruit juice vendor or women they like to make you a Henna Tattoo.
There is always something going on! But please take care of your valuables!
Good to know is, that everybody speaks very good French and mostly as well English or other languages. You should never have problems in conversations.
We stayed in a Riad – a Riad is a tipical place to stay in Marrakesh. Mostly small hotels with 5-10 rooms. We stayed in the Riad Houma, good situated and breakfast was included. The staff was friendly and the Riad was very clean. The only negative point was, thar our room was always a bit cold.
One day, we went to a Hammam «5 éléments» to have a massage. For one hour we payed 35 Francs and the massage was extremly relaxing and we loved the stay there.
You can eat for 6 Francs a whole meal, so it is really cheap! ✌🏻️I recommend to eat Couscous and Tajine, so delicious😋!
Furthermore, if you like yo buy herbs 🌿 Marrakesh is the right place. Do not forget to deal for the 1/2 price! For 100g I payed 20 DH (Dirham is the currency of Morocco and is 2 Francs) – but this is too much! In an other place I saw the same herbs for 60 DH per kilo! Haha😂✌🏻️👌🏼
Last but not least, normally the weather is sunny☀️ and so Marrakesh is a good choice for a weekend trip!
